Born in Detroit, Michigan on February 10, 1930, Robert Wagner (also known as RJ) moved to Los Angeles at the tender age of 7. He was a golf caddy for Clark Gable. His first bit part in a movie was in MGM's The Happy Years in 1950. In his only scene, he wore a catcher's mask.R.J. was "discovered" while dining with his parents at The Gourmet in Beverly Hills. However, his career really took off in 1952 with the movie A Song in My Heart. Released during the worst moments of the Korean War, it struck a chord with audiences and became a big hit.In the summer of 1956, R.J. started dating Natalie Wood. Finally, on December 6, 1957, R.J. proposed. They were married 3 weeks later on December 28, 1957. Eventually, their marriage was torn apart by gossip columnists and Natalie's infatuation with Warren Beatty. Natalie and RJ's divorce became final in April 1963 although it had been granted in April 1962.In 1962, R.J. decided to try and live abroad. His first movie abroad, The Longest Day, broke box office records around the world. He met and started dating Marion Marshall. They were married on July 22, 1963 after moving back to the United States.At age 34, R.J. became a father for the first time. Kate Wagner was born on May 12, 1964. By the end of 1970, RJ and Marion announced their seperation. For a while, he started dating Tina Sinatra. His divorce became final in October 1971.R.J. and Natalie found their way back to each other. They started dating and remarried at sea on July 16, 1972. Before they got married, they lived together secretly for 3 months. Their daughter, Courtney, was born on March 9, 1974. Their world came to an end when Natalie drowned in an unfortunate accident on November 29, 1981.R.J. married his third wife, Jill St. John, in 1990. They are still married to this day.
