Donna Mills (born in Chicago, Illinois on December 11, 1949) is an American actress, who first gained prominence as Sister Laura Donnelly on the soap opera Love is a Many Splendored Thing.She is best known for portraying Abby Fairgate Ewing on the hit TV series Knots Landing, a role she played from 1980 to 1989.
