Robin Leach

Robin Leach

You know someone is a real personality when he portrays himself in most of his TV and film appearances. And why wouldn't he? With the recognizable English accent and star appeal, Robin Leach has produced one of the most successful TV shows of the past two decades. Mr. Leach served as host, writer and executive producer of one of the most popular shows of the 1980s, Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. Other successful TV programs on Leach's resume include Runaway with the Rich and Famous and Fame, Fortune and Romance. The son of an office manager, Leach's first experience in journalism started at age 15, and ever since, the Harrow, England native has been interested in telling the stories of, you guess it, the rich and famous. From news reporter for The Harrow Observer, he moved on to the Daily Mail and even had the distinction of being Britain's youngest Page One reporter ever. But it was not until he turned 21 that he crossed the Atlantic and settled down in New York. Having co-founded the rock magazine GO, he freelanced for a number of publications before eventually becoming the show business editor for The Star; Rupert Murdoch's inaugural magazine in the United States.By 1980, he joined Cable News Network's People Tonight and worked as a reporter for Entertainment Tonight. Three years later, Leach and TeleRep President and Founder Al Masini dreamt up Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. It was then that Leach propelled himself into the same class as those who were featured on the show. We recently caught up with Mr. Leach -- in between two of his numerous voyages -- to find out more about this luminous trajectory.Source:askmen.com

Travel is very subjective. What one person loves, another loathes. I would say a private paradise in the Caribbean. If you want culture and class, I would say Tuscany. If you want exotic, I would say Bangkok, Thailand.More Robin Leach quotes [03/29/2018 05:03:36]
So, you're seeing the Rolls-Royces and the Bentley's still selling for big prices. You're seeing jewelry still selling, art works at auction. There was a diamond that sold for I think 38 million, 48 million, something like that just a week ago. So prices are back up to their highs, getting stronger and more and more people seem to have more and more money to spend.More Robin Leach quotes [03/29/2018 05:03:36]

There are some people who get money just because they've got large families. So if it pays to make large families and earn more money than you would earn out at work, why not have more families, larger families? That's wrong.More Robin Leach quotes [03/29/2018 05:03:36]
