Daughter of American business executive Donald Trump

America is the largest corporation on the planet. You wouldn\'t hire a novice to run a similarly sized company in the private markets. My father has created more jobs through his private businesses than certainly any of the candidates. Mitt Romney has executive experience, but it\'s a different type. He didn\'t run entrepreneurial businesses.
The issues in America are so big, and the problems are enormously complicated. But I am incredibly confident in Donald Trump to be able to execute on his promise to the people who elected him.
I was in total shock. I work so close [to home] that I figured I\'d return to work and the baby nurse would bring the baby to me, and I\'d run home periodically, and I\'d make it work. But every two hours? That\'s a whole other level. I\'ll have to make a nursery at the office.
Having children has made me incredibly efficient. It\'s hard to leave them in the mornings, but I\'m extremely productive during the day, knowing I want to be fully focused on them when I get home.
I\'m so grateful to my parents for my upbringing and for all of the opportunities that I was provided with, but I also learned at a young age that success is not given, it is earned and that has always been something that motivates me.
All great hotels should have stellar personalized service, a unique design that gives guests a sense of place, an excellent on-site restaurant, and other fantastic amenities. Obviously location is a key factor as well.
Accessories are crucial. A great bag and a piece of statement jewelry are the fastest way to elevate an otherwise understated look.
While I enjoy and have enjoyed great success building my own personal apparel and accessories collections, my greatest passion has and will always be real estate.
As President, my father will change the labor laws that were put into place at a time when women were not a significant portion of the workforce. And he will focus on making quality child care affordable and accessible for all.
I probably not as likely to say what\'s on my mind, and I think most people aren\'t. It\'s not something I would want to always be doing. So that\'s why I\'m not a politician.
I don\'t own a blowdryer - I don\'t know how to use it. Most mornings, I walk to work with my hair wet.
I respect the fact that Donald Trump always listens. It\'s how he was in business. It\'s how he is as president.
I hate the word surrogate, because what does that mean? Like when people talk about I`m my father\'s confident, at one point, they were actually saying major newspapers were publicly were writing that I was Vice Presidential candidate. I`m saying no. I`m a daughter.
We\'re in a very unique time where noise equals, in a lot of people\'s perception, advocacy. And I fundamentally disagree with that.
We\'re generating an enormous amount of content geared at this young professional woman, which has been resonating strongly. We also have been creating solution-oriented products for that same person that will help her transition in life through her many roles, whether they may be mother, girlfriend, professional, and really everything in between.
From a productivity perspective, prioritization is key. And it\'s very easy to focus on clearing the decks of minutia, especially when one\'s very busy. It\'s almost easy to want to sit down at your desk when you have a free five minutes and try to clear out some of the incoming emails rather than strip things strategically and foundationally and ask about what the most important objectives for you and the company are.
Fashion is meant to be fun.
Politicians talk about wage equality, but my father has made it a practice at his company throughout his entire career. He will fight for equal pay for equal work, and I will fight for this too right alongside of him.
Jewelry is incredibly feminine, and reflects the grace and beauty of a women\'s style like nothing else.
I have the good fortune of working with two brothers who are very accomplished, incredibly smart, and very capable. So thankfully there is not an issue in that regard where somebody isn\'t pulling their own weight. We collaborate all the time. We tend to take different paths, but we tend to reach very similar conclusions. It\'s actually great because it allows us to be much more creative in the process of getting things done.
To the extent I can, I try to maintain a laser focus on what needs to get done from a priority standpoint. And not just from an urgency standpoint, but from a value-added standpoint. So where can I add the most value? Where is my time best spent?
Attention to detail is crucial in my roles as a real estate developer and principal of a lifestyle brand. Fine jewelry is especially intricate and requires a very well trained eye.
So there\'s no typical day, but I transition through the course of my business day by doing everything from construction meetings on the development project under construction to design meetings for an upcoming apparel delivery to acquisition meetings about projects we\'re looking to acquire. It\'s very diverse in terms of content, substance, and what I address on a typical day.
Be passionate. If you are passionate, you will ultimately succeed.
I think there are multiple ways to have your voice heard. In some cases, it\'s through protest and it\'s through going on the nightly news and talking about or denouncing every issue on which you disagree with. Other times it is quietly and directly and candidly.
I\'ve seldom met somebody who is merely satisfied working alongside siblings. You typically have a binary outcome. They either are miserable and everyone starts to hate each other, which is an unfortunate outcome that we see too often, or it is really incredible, and there\'s tremendous energy and mutual respect, and the parties work really well together. I\'ve found that the middle road typically doesn\'t happen.
For me professionally as well I\'ve built an incredible business that I\'m very proud of that is my own brand and that is both creating incredible content to empower and inspire this next generation of working women through a digital platform, mainly through my website, ivankatrump.com, our email newsletters, and our social-media platforms.
I am very proud of my father and what he\'s accomplished. It is amazing.
It\'s so important for jewelry has to be versatile. The statement piece is no longer just that. One day it\'s a statement and the next it\'s merely an accent to a great pair of shoes or a stunning handbag. Adaptability is key.
Success isn't something that happens to you; you happen to it.
