I'm getting to the place where I can sort of go through airports now and there's no hysteria. I can go places alone even. But at the same time, if you get in trouble, you can find somebody in your age group who might recognize you. I travel a lot. A lot, a lot. It's an old Spanish law. It doesn't require your parents to swear out a complaint; anybody can. I think a high school girl hitchhiking is stupid. It was dangerous then and it's dangerous now. My mother was working a lot, so she was gone often. I would leave school and hitchhike to the beach. I can't believe I hitchhiked now. It scares me to death now. My father actually lived next door to Hobie Alter [creator of the Hobie catamarans]. So growing up, we had prototypes and experimental things that we could play with; it was just fabulous. I actually bought my first surfboard in junior high. I saved my money. I feel so fortunate. I was brought up along the beaches in Southern California, and then got to have horses. Having a horse is a huge responsibility, so people should be very careful before they consider getting one. With or without horse slaughter, horse rescues need our help and support. That can involve financial donations, volunteering, or even donating items like brushes and blankets. Horse rescues operate with little money, so every little thing you can do to help goes a long way. Laws exist in every state that make animal cruelty a crime. Horse slaughter is simply another form of animal abuse. Horses are a symbol of America and can be marketed that way overseas. It's so easy to conform and to follow. It's very difficult to be rebellious and live by what you believe is right. And to make decisions and to take the consequences. Very few people do. When you look at women who have had plastic surgery, they have lost something - usually an expression, something unique to their face. Life has played some funny tricks on me and taken me on a wild ride. How did I ever get into this wonderful mess that is my life? We were on the island of Hawaii. I think I was there three months. It was fantastic. It is not much different than films. It depends on the television show but much of television today is as good or better than most films. There's an incredible fascination for that and that goes with violence and everything else in pictures. I had no career before '10' and then all of a sudden I was able to do pretty much whatever I was able to do in the business. It is inconceivable that, in the richest nation in the world, we have 30 million people at risk of hunger. I believe that, if we truly make a commitment as a nation, we can defeat hunger. Whoever said money can't buy happiness simply didn't know where to go shopping. My character is an agoraphobic.
