Jack Black

Jack Black

His role in 'High Fidelity' (2000)
Wild-eyed and manically comic, Jack Black went from character actor in small roles in Mars Attacks (1996, directed by Tim Burton) and Enemy of the State (1998, with Will Smith), to stealing the show in High Fidelity (2000, starring John Cusack) and landing leading roles in Shallow Hal (2001, co-starring Gwyneth Paltrow), Orange County (2002) and School of Rock (2003). Black was also the star of Heat Vision and Jack (1999, with the voice of Owen Wilson), a tongue-in-cheek TV series directed by Ben Stiller that was made for Fox television but never broadcast. Black is also half of the rock duo Tenacious D, who briefly starred in their own HBO series (1999). In 2004 he co-starred with Stiller in Envy (directed by Barry Levinson).Source: answers.com

I played, like, a year of piano until I learned the 'Pink Panther' theme. That was my goal. Once I was good enough, I quit. Now my music has to have some rock.More Jack Black quotes [03/29/2018 05:03:36]
Back in the '70s, like one of my favorite movies ever was 'The Bad News Bears', and that was a kids' movie, but I don't think of it that way. I think of it as just a great movie because Walter Matthau was so funny and so harsh with those kids.More Jack Black quotes [03/12/2018 02:03:32]
